Ghost
Glow Worm
Lambert
Oren−Nayar
Skin
Velvet
Wax
Итак, начинаем с CarPaint
Car Paint
As its name implies, this shader is ideal for painting cars or other objects that require such qualities as metal, tiny paint
flecks, reflections, etc.
Diffuse (Cs)
Diffuse color for the material. To assign a map, refer to the Basic Surface Properties
in section 8.6.
Falloff
The Carpaint shader has a 'Falloff' paint layer. This works much like 3ds max's Fallof
map in 'Perpendicular/Parallel' mode. This parameter determines the Color of that
paint layer.
Falloff Amount
The Falloff Amount determines the strength of the 'Falloff' paint layer. At 1.0, the
paint layer is completely blended in. At 0.0, the paint layer is basically 'off'. Values
inbetween blend the layer accordingly.
Reflectivity
Specifies the reflectivity of the material. The more R(ed) G(reen) or B(lue) this
swatch has, the more it will reflect each corresponding color −− and of course, to
reflect clearly, increase them all with the same value, 255/255/255 = pure white. To
assign a map, refer to the Texmap Manager in section 8.7.
Color
The Color parameter determines the reflection 'filter' color. A red
color, for example, will only show red reflections.
IOR
The IOR parameter determines the 'Complex IOR' of the Carpaint
material. This is a Fresnel function which you may be familiar with
from 3ds max's Falloff map. A Fresnel function dictates that
reflections should be stronger at glancing angles, and more faded at
head−on angles. The higher the IOR, the more the head−on values
approach those of the glancing angle values.
Candy
The Carpaint shader has a so−called 'Candy' paint layer. Some special car paints
exhibit a different hue of color in the direction of reflected light sources. The 'Candy'
layer can simulate this effect.
Color
This color swatch determines the color of the 'Candy' paint layer.
Bias
This value determines the 'spread', if you will, of the 'Candy' paint
layer. Smaller values result in a tighter/smaller area for the 'Candy'
layer, higher values result in a smoother/larger area.
Kd (diffuse)
Diffuse multiplier of the material.
Ka (ambient)
Ambient multiplier of the material.
Flakes
Many carpaints have a so−called 'metallic' paint. This 'metallic' behavior is evidenced
by a slightly 'sparkly' look to the car when seen up close, and a metallic look when
seen from afar. This phenomenon is caused by tiny little flakes of paint with varying
reflective values. The Flakes parameters are intended to simulate these. The actual
Flake structure is much like 3ds max's Cellular map.
Color
Determines the Color of the simulated flakes. This is usually best
left as a desaturated/lighter version of the base paint layer
(Diffuse), as the flakes should be filtered by that paint layer. But
any color is possible.
Size
The Size parameter affects the base size of the simulated flakes.
This is best left as a small value, as you generally don't want big
splotches acting as flakes. This acts much like the 'size' value in a
3ds max Cellular map.
Amount
The Amount value acts like a blend value for the Flakes. The
higher this value, the more the flakes will show up. At 1.0 they are
fully blended in. At 0.0 they are completely faded out. Values
inbetween blend the layer accordingly.
Bias
Like the 'Candy' layer Bias value, this determines the area in which
the Flakes are visible. Smaller values result in a tighter/smaller area
for the Flakes, higher values result in a smoother/larger area.
Spread
This value determines the density of the flakes, and acts much like
3ds max's Cellular map's 'Spread' parameter. Lower values make
for smaller flakes over the same surface area, thus making for a
more sparse distribution of the flakes. Higher values cause a more
dense flake distribution, eventually 'drowning out' the base paint
(Diffuse) layer.
ЗДЕСЬ мой перевод ввиде небольшого урока, который до конца недописан...
Чтобы протестировать Car Paint нужна хорошая качественная модель машины,
если никто не поделится своей моделью, то качайте модель Fiat500

FIAT 500 high poly model- |2004-05-15| by PENdzel
Потом подберем хдрку, настроим освещение и начнем тестировать материал...
У меня пока получился вот такой материальчик, смотрите картинку.
Нравится? Не нравится? Что надо изменить, переделать?
